CPF's Current Groups

Men's Group

Mens Social Group

We run several regular groups here at Carmarthenshire People First, which you can join – to learn new skills, take part in activities and make new friends. If you’re interested in joining any of our groups, please get in touch to discuss details.

Our Men’s Group meets every fortnight, on a Wednesday, and enjoys a wide range of activities, both in terms of practical support and fun & informative things to do. There may be a small fee involved for this group, depending on extra activities.

Women's Groups

Our Women’s Group meets every fortnight, on a Friday, between 12 – 2pm, and enjoys a  range of activities and even  an occasional lunch somewhere lovely! There may be a small fee involved for this group, depending on extra activities.

Skills Swap Group

LD Gaming Group

Our Skills Swap Group meets every fortnight, on a Thursday, to learn and develop a broad selection of life skills to help with independent, day-to-day life. There may be a small fee involved for this group, depending on extra activities.

Cookery Skills Group

Our Cookery Skills  Group meets every fortnight, on a Tuesday, between 10.30am  – 12pm with CPF Member Gina Dean, teaching you how to make a selection of delicious, nutritious but simple dishes to enjoy as part of a healthy lifestyle. There is a fee of £3.50  per person, per session, to cover the cost of ingredients.

Tuesday Night Social Group

LD Group

Our Tuesday Night Social Group meets every week, on a (you guessed it!) Tuesday night from 7pm to 9pm and is held  at the Student Union Bar at Trinity St David’s University campus. There is a fee of £1.50  per person, per week for this group, payable on the door.

Keep Fit Group

Our Keep Fit Group meets every week, on a  Tuesday afternoon from 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm here at the CPF office, where Dafydd will guide and instruct you through a fun hour of gentle activities designed to keep you fit, healthy & mobile.

Walk & Talk Group

We are currently running a new Walk & Talk Group at Carmarthenshire People First. These sessions take place once a week, in Carmarthen on Tuesdays and in Llanelli on Thursdays. The  aim of these sessions is to do some light exercise outdoors and to chat to other members of CPF. Each walk and talk will last up to 2 hours. We will start and end at our meeting place. You will need to:
