Assistive Technology Staff

  • Assistive technology (AT) can support the aspirations of many older, vulnerable or disabled people by providing them with greater choice. As the average age of the population increases the use of assistive technology is becoming much more prominent.  Within our CRT we have a team of support staff who can help and advise those who are vulnerable to maintain their independence and to remain safe with the use of assistive technology.

Some examples of assistive technology that our community staff can advise upon include:

  • Mobility aids,
  • Hearing aids,
  • Physical modifications to building environments such as ramps,
  • Adaptive switches and utensils,
  • Devices to help perform everyday tasks such as dressing, grooming and cooking.
